Happy National Unicorn Day!
If you’re like me, every day is a Unicorn Day. But April 9 is the *official* day where unicorns are celebrated. Do you even need a reason to celebrate one of the most magical creatures? Given the current state of the world, we all could use a little more magic in our lives.
So, how does one go about celebrating National Unicorn Day? Check out some ideas below:
- Watch a unicorn related movie or show. If you’re looking for something animated, The Last Unicorn or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic might be up your alley.
- Revisit this classic “Candy Mountain” episode of Charlie the Unicorn:
- Bake a fun and colorful treat – this could be a rainbow unicorn cake, cake pops, or cookies. The possibilities are endless!
- Read some books about unicorns. The Magical Unicorn Society series and A Magical History of Unicorns are some of my favorites and have some absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
- Indulge in some unicorn crafts – whether it’s a unicorn coloring book, a unicorn headband, or decorating some clothing.
- Buy yourself or a friend a unicorn-themed gift (check out my unicorn gift-guide for some ideas)
- Listen to some unicorn-themed songs or bands. Below is one of my favorites!
Take a moment to think about what makes you feel pure joy and enchantment. What feels magical to you?
